Wixoss is, arguably, three games in one.
The game has three distinct eras that are not exactly interplayable: The Star Selection, the Key Selection and the Diva Selection formats.
Star is contains all the cards from the start of the game until now. You can consider this the "legacy" format.
Key only allows cards that has the key symbol in it. Those were mainly printed before the latest format, but after the Diva format they got way less cards.
Diva is the most current format. It was launched as a soft reboot that upped the LRIG, your face characters, from 1 to 3. As the name implies, thematically we control a magical girl band going to town against their rivals.
It was only after the Diva reboot that Wixoss finally was released "Globally" |(i.e. in English).
Keep in mind, the game was already 6 years old at this point, being launched in 2014 and rebooted into Diva on December 2020.
I know this sounds a bit much, but all this context (or at least most of it) is needed to explain this Halloween promo set.
But first, let's show the cards:
And here are they in high quality:
These were released in English as box toppers for the 2023 "Prismatic Diva" set, released in September, just shy of The Spooky Month. Their collection numbers go from WXDi-P237 to WXDi-P244.
But there's a catch: These promos are actually a reprint of a larger set, released as a box topper for the 2018 "Wiles" set, back when the game was only printed in Japanese.
But the original set included 12 cards, numbered SPK08-01 to SPK08-12.
However, four of those cards were restricted to Key Format only and never got a Diva release, so the company decided to keep them out of the box toppers.
These are the four cards that didn't make to the EN:
Sadly, this story ends on a sour note: On September 15, 2025, Takara Tomy published a note announcing the end of English Wixoss, cementing the chances of the last four cards in the set of ever being released.
